![]() ![]() It is a great product when the application is smooth, and lasts a long time. If it does not immediately turn into a glue like substance on application, then remove it a little earlier than the normal timeframe. I have had decent luck touching up those spots with SRC finishing polish. sorry but I don't have the time right now to link the page. That is where the damp micro has been reported to aid in the removal. As mentioned many have had this problem, and it has been reported that a lightly damp micro will aid in removing the uncured high spots.īuried in the many pages of this thread you may find info that helps. You either have a bad bottle, or let it sit too long before lightly buffing the high spots. Once cured it can only be polished off with a polisher and compound for removal It requires a prep spray to a freshly polished surface. Yep that is crystal coat, not crystal seal. I can do a whole car in 30 - 45 mins tops, and that is me being real particular and taking my time. It is wet and kind of greasy, but flash dries real quick, just a quick wipe down to level it out is all it takes. Oh Crystal Seal? Yeah definitely something up with the bottle you have. comes out super thin, only needs a couple drops to do a couple square ft. Gtechniq C2v3 Liquid Crystal actually swaps some of its molecular structure with the surface molecules of your vehicles paintwork. is a nano-active coating spray that forms a true covalent bond with your paint work. Do they have both? this is the paint sealer. This easy-to-use spray coating takes your paint to a whole new level of gloss and protection. At least the stuff i've buffed out looks like it should.Įdit: oh and by crystal coating, i meant crystal seal. I'm definitely not a fan of how hard it is to buff and even less of a fan of it's shelf life if autogeek is selling outdated stock but in the end it seems to still work. I dont know if i'd call it a glue like substance but it's tacky in a non-wet way. I then give it maybe 5 minutes and buffing out is extremely hard. I just bought this from autogeek a couple weeks ago. The coating takes about 20 seconds after going down on the car before becoming tacky. Not saying it's not but i'm not sure why the no water requirement exists. It also says to avoid water for 24 hours, so i'm not sure how a damp cloth would be good. I spent at least 3 hours today applying and removing excess and i still have to do the doors and rear. No matter how little i put on, it glazed and you then had to buff it to a shine. The bottle seems to suggest that the regular behavior should be wipe on and you're done unless you happen to apply too much. This stuff doesn't want to come off of itself without a fight. The coating takes about 20 seconds after going down on the car before becoming tacky. I dont know if the bottle is date coded but it was freshly opened by me today. ![]()
